Seamus Byrne : President

Seamus began to dance at the early age of three and is privileged to have undertaken courses, workshops, as well as perform and compete in many events both locally and abroad.

Seamus was been a member of the Gibraltar National Dance National Team between 1995 and 2007 and has been honoured to represent Gibraltar officially at International Dance Competitions organised by the International Dance Organisation. His highlights include accomplishing the following: -

• 3rd place at the World Show Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany in 2001;

• 4th place at the World Jazz Championships in Toronto, Canada in 2002;

• Gibraltar National Solo Champion in 2003;

• 3rd place at the European Dance Show Championships in Limburg, Germany in 2003;

• 5th place at the World Dance Show Championships in Riesa, Germany, both in 2000 and 2003

Been very active in the local entertainment industry, Seamus has been privileged to Direct and Produce many cultural and social events including Miss Gibraltar 2001.

Seamus joined the GNDO committee in 1996 where he served as Vice-President since 2011.

Upon Michael Prescott's retirement he was appointed GNDO President and is working hard under a new ethos 'Unity through Dance' getting people, from different dancing environments, working together with a sense of unity, to represent Gibraltar at the highest dance level.

He is an IDO International Judge, the IDO area representative for Gibraltar, Portugal and Spain and has being recently appointed by the IDO presidium with responsibilities for IDO You Tube.

Seamus main aim is to enhance Gibraltar's international profile and make Gibraltar a centre of excellence for dance.

Belize Cortes : Secretary

Belize has for numerous years supported local dance groups in their shows and productions, as backstage crew and front of house manager.

For several years she has been a pioneer of fundraising for sports clubs, local choirs and more recently for National Dance Team. She is very active with the National Team, through fundraising and assisting with props, makeup and hair and in a way possible to make Gibraltar’s participation at IDO events to the highest of standards.

Today, Belize continues to support and promote dance and culture for our youth, both through the GNDO and M.O. Productions.
Noemi Chipolina : Working Committee

Noemi started Spanish dancing lessons at the age of 4 and then joined a local modern and jazz dance group at the age of 12 and danced in many local events during those years till the age of 16.

In the past 10 years, Noemi has been supporting M.O. Productions in many backstage and front of house roles. She also helped local dance schools in their productions and has even had the opportunity to present shows.

Noemi is very involved in our community through the Girl Guiding movement as a leader. She is also the Chairwoman and Secretary of Bishop Fitzgerald’s Parents Association and for many years being instrumental to organise fundraising initiatives for both entities.

Most recently she has started a new challenge in acting with LOL Productions in addition to be part of the GNDO’s working committee.
Shawn Gonzalez : Working Committee

Since a very young age Shawn has been involved in youth and community programmes, mainly with M.O. Productions. He has been an active Sea Scout, Army Cadet and has recently joined the Royal Gibraltar Regiment’s TA.

Shawn has always played an important role in many cultural events in a backstage role.

Many the events include local productions, the annual Gibraltar Stage Dance Festival, the annual Dance Extravaganza, the European Show Dance Championships, amongst others.

Shawn hopes to be able to contribute his best for the Gibraltar National Dance Team and their participation at international events.

Alfred Rumbo : Working Commitee

Alfred was introduced, by his father, into the world of the arts at the young age of 13. Since then, Alfred has been very involved in many theatre and youth projects in Gibraltar.

Alfred undertook many backstage roles for many cultural shows including organising Zarzuelas at the John Mackintosh Hall as well as working with many international artists like Helen Chapirro at the Theatre Royal. He is also very privileged to have worked closely with renowned Gibraltarians like Lionel Perez.

He then continued as a voluntary youth worker where he undertook, for over 30 years, many community activities and coordinated beauty pageants and productions.

In addition to be a working member of the GNDO committee, Alfred is also co-director of M.O. productions.
Paulette Finlayson-Napoli : Team Captain

Principal of The GIbraltar Academy of Dance. Studied at Laban Centre -Professional Dancers Three year course. Specializing in Classical & Contemporary Dance Technique /Choreography /Production /Music and Body Conditioning. Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher;- Specializing in Children & Higher grade examinations and Vocational examinations. -

Royal Academy : Diploma in Anatomy Royal Academy : Diploma in Music Royal Academy : Diploma in Dance History.

Royal Academy : Mentor for students teachers for R.A.D.

Paulette has been the Principal for the Gibraltar Academy for 28 years; during this time she has presented thousands of students for R.A.D. examinations with 100% pass rate.

She has produced many original productions and also choreographed and directed charitable events. Drama; Song festivals and beauty Pageants and choreographer for the Gibraltar national dance team.
